Secret To No Wrinkles

Secret To No Wrinkles [metaslider id=85]I was in line to get into a trendy night club Downtown LA when a girl started chatting to me, somehow I ended telling her my age… Her reaction? – “What?! You are how old? I SO want to look like you when I am that old!“ –Then she started yelling my age to her friends in line (yeap… not only her friends, but everyone in line found out my age –It was a long line and I was 10 years older than all of them). They all surrounded me to ask for my “beauty secret to look so young” (I was still feeling slightly offended since I didn’t feel like I was THAT old).

Until that night, I never really thought about “my secret” to no wrinkles, but once they asked, I totally knew the answer…SUNSCREEN!!!

I was lucky enough to have a dermatologist in the family that shared this information with my mom who then became very disciplined about making us wear sunscreen all the time. I can say that thanks to that, I have no wrinkles (Thank you Mom).

I’ve tried many different sunscreens. Here are some of my favorites, including two recommended by my dermatologist:

Best Sunscreen for Face

(Recommended by my dermatologist)

This product is one of my all-time favorites. I started using this 21 years ago! It has a very creamy consistency and is lightly tinted. It makes your skin feel hydrated and healthy. Sometimes I wear a light powder on top of it and that’s it!

It’s $25 USD, offers SPF 40 protection from sun’s UVA/UVB rays and contains antioxidants that help to protect the skin from environmental irritants.

The only downside is that, since is slightly tinted, it might not look good on everyone.

Clinique Super City Block 40SPF

Clinique Super City Block

If you are looking for a super lightweight sunscreen, this is the one for you! It is fast-absorbing and, since is very light, you almost feel like you are not wearing anything. It costs $39 USD. It works as a great primer, moisturizer and sun protection all in one.
Don’t forget to shake it well before you apply it!

Lancome Bienfait UV 50 review

Lancome Bienfait UV 50

This is the newer version of the former Sunblock. It feels very light on the skin, and just like the , you can almost forget you put it on. There is a slight white cast but it goes away once it’s absorbed by the skin (which is very quickly). It costs $55 USD. It offers SPF 50, (also protects you from free radicals and pollution).

Chanel UV Essentiel review

Chanel UV Essentiel

This is not only a Sunscreen but a tinted moisturizer as well. It feels really good and helps improve your skin. Unlike Clinique Super City Block, this comes in two shades (I use 30 Beige, which is the darker version). It offers protection of SPF 50, antioxidant properties and moderate coverage.

Chanel CC CREAM review

Chanel CC CREAM

– AM SPF 30 (Recommended by my dermatologist)

This has a thicker feel. It also has added benefits like containing niacinamide (an anti-aging and pore minimizing ingredient). At first there is a minimal white cast but this fades very quickly. It doesn’t happen often but sometimes it will pill if you don’t blend it well. I use this alone, put concealer under my eyes and I am ready to go.

Sunscreen review, CeraVE AM

CeraVe AM Facial Moisturizing Lotion

From drugstore to fancy retail stores, you can find a sunscreen that works for you. I understand that for any new ritual you want to integrate to your beauty routine, the hardest part is discipline, but trust me… It’s so worth it!

    Cual es el menos grasoso?
Porque mi problema es que los bloqueadores solares me producen granitos y la verdad yo no sufro de acné mas que cuando me pongo bloqueador

      Hi Paola!

I would say that the Chanel would be the lightest of all.
I would also suggest that you go to a department store and get samples of all of them and check which one works better for you. 🙂 Let me know which one did!
